Konda-ya Genbei × Shoyeido × KOTOSHINA Collaboration — Fragrance Product Sales Announcement

We're pleased to announce the release of a new collaboration between the long-established obi maker Konda-ya Genbei, incense shop Shoyeido, and KOTOSHINA: "Origata Ebiko Sachet," "Otedama Set," and "Fragrant Ohineri Wrap."

The "Origata Ebiko Sachet" and "Otedama Set" wrap Shoyeido's traditional Japanese fragrance, carrying forward Kyoto's long heritage, in Konda-ya Genbei's silk "Yakumo" weave — a design where rising clouds, an auspicious symbol wishing happiness upon all who see it, are woven into a beautifully lustrous fabric.

The washi-wrapped "Fragrant Ohineri Wrap" also makes a wonderful choice for a small, thoughtful gift.
We hope you'll take this opportunity to see these pieces for yourself.

Konda-ya Genbei
Located on Muromachi-dori, a north-south street lined with many of Kyoto's long-established shops, Konda-ya Genbei has operated here for roughly 285 years. Carrying on traditional techniques passed down since the mid-Edo period, and using carefully selected materials, the obi crafted by Konda-ya Genbei continue to captivate people to this day.

Shoyeido, Incense Shop
The company's roots trace back roughly 300 years, to when Rokuzaemon Moriyoshi Hata, village headman of Tamba-Sasayama, founded a business called "Sasaya." It later became "Shoyeido" under the third-generation head, Morikatsu, who served as a supplier to the Imperial Court. Honoring traditional techniques and spirit while remaining passionate about embracing cutting-edge innovation, the company continues to carry forward the long history of Japan's incense culture.
